- Part of teaching team in 2016 for SPARK Youth Ministry Certification program directed by Rev. Charles Harrison. I provided leadership and personality assessments for 30+ youth directors from throughout the United States.Founding member of the Board of Directors of Foundation Preparatory Academy in Clute, TX – a private, Christian, University Model School for grades 3-11. Raised startup capital, filed for non-profit status, leased classroom space, hired teachers, and a head administrator. First UMS school to be accredited by NAUMS in its first year of operation. - Participant in Cohort #3 of Advancing Pastoral Leadership: a Lilly grant funded leadership development program for young, high potential leaders. (2009-2016)
- Member of Texas Annual Conference’s Sexual Ethics Policy writing team. Co-wrote and co-taught the mandatory policy training from 2007- 2012 with Rev. Mary Tumulty.
- Participant in the Bishop’s Taskforce on Ministerial Effectiveness that produced current Performance Evaluation tool forTexas Annual Conference clergy. (2006-2008)
- Served as the Interim Chair of the Board of Directors of Shalom Mobile Health Ministry in Houston, TX during a financial and leadership crisis. (2003)
- Participated in the startup and became a charter member of the Board of Directors for ‘The Senior’s Place.’ (A day-care program for those who suffer from Alzheimer’s and related dementia originally housed at St. Luke’s UMC in Houston, TX). Worked with a team to establish the program as a 501c3 non-profit, fund raised for property, renovations, and staff. (1998-2000)
